Should Children learn religion in Public Schools

Should children learn religion in public school?

You’re responsible for your children

Adam and Eve didn’t lose a religion; they lost a Kingdom. They lost the relationship with the one and only true God. Every religion that will ever exist was born when man sinned. Religion is man’s attempt to rule over others as he seeks to get pleasure out of life. Man will worship something.

Israel could see how other nations worshipped their gods, but was warned by Yahweh God not to worship Him like the heathens worshipped their gods (Deuteronomy 2:4). Even though God is self-sufficient, He gets pleasure from our worship. Worshipping and loving the one true God is not a religion, but worshiping idols is very religious.

Public schools don’t have to teach children religion; they’re born religious. This is why Jesus said, "Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again" (John 3:7). Being a disciple of Jesus Christ is not a religion, but it’s a relationship that’s based on a person’s "free will" to choose to follow and obey Jesus. Following the real Messiah, and not the "live like you want to American Churchy Jesus," is a matter of obeying His commandments.
Public schools did not have sex, get pregnant and give birth to children. Two human beings did that. You’re responsible for your children. Hinduism, Buddhism, Judaism, Christianity and Islam are among the world’s major religions, and right now the entire world, as it has been since the fall of man, is experiencing wars and rumors of war. Until a man surrenders to God, he is at best a religious control freak.

"Have no other gods before me" is the first commandment, and if we don’t "love God with all of our heart, mind, and strength, and our neighbor as our self," then we’re religious. If you’re walking in truth, and teaching your children the truth, then I don’t think you’ll be angry over the public schools teaching religion.
